Microsoft recently created Tags in Teams to allow users to assign team members with a specific tag so you don’t have to copy and paste the same message to each member or have to individually mention each member.

People can be grouped by roles, projects, locations, and more.

To create a Tag:

  1. Click on the ellipses next to the Team name
  2. Click on Manage Tags
  3. Click Create New Tag
  4. Then simply create a Tag name and start adding people you would like to be connected to this Tag.
  5. Now, the next time you need to communicate with this group, you simply put the @Tag Name so everyone under that tag will be notified.
