March 12: Deadline for Academic Nurse Educator Certification (ANEC) Award
February 26, 2021Full-time University of Maryland School of Nursing faculty who have received or renewed their National League for Nursing Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) credential during the prior or current fiscal years (7/1/2019-6/30/2021) are eligible for an award of up to $5,000 from the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC).
Nominations must be signed and submitted by the Dean. Completed nomination packages for faculty qualifying for the award must be received by Deborah Prout, Special Assistant to the Dean, by Friday, March 12, 2021. Applicants will be required to provide a number of documents, including a copy of their NLN Testing Score Sheet/or CNE renewal of certification letter, a letter detailing their current nurse educator functions and the impact of CNE on their role, and information as to whether they attended a NLN CNE workshop or prepared independently.
