Understanding Infant Adoption with photos of couples and pregnant women

Spaulding for Children, in partnership with Harmony Family Center, is pleased to announce that after the conclusion of live delivery of our Understanding Infant Adoption (UIA) 5 curriculum, the team created 6 supplemental web-based courses as well as a self-paced version of the UIA 5 curriculum for health care/hospital professionals. These free online professional development sessions offer CEU’s/contact hours.

The web-based UIA 5 curriculum includes interactive activities, videos, and access to additional reading that is intended to provide students who may not be able to access an in-person UIA training with an opportunity to be introduced to the material. The web-based UIA 5 course also serves as a refresher for those who have previously attended a UIA session. No continuing education credits are being offered for the web-based UIA 5 course. Nonetheless, participants can get a certificate of completion at the end upon finishing all 6 modules.

The Supplemental Modules were created to enhance the UIA curriculum and to provide more in-depth information about the various themes covered in the UIA curriculum. Each Supplemental Module includes a video-based delivery of content and worksheets and activities that are designed to support the student in learning more about each theme. These modules can be viewed in conjunction with the UIA 5 course, or, can be accessed individually based on the needs and interests of the participant. Continuing education credits are offered to nurses for each module through the end of September 2021.
