Faculty are invited to complete a brief survey and participate in an upcoming listening session designed to gather more information about the lived experiences of University of Maryland, Baltimore’s diverse faculty. This study is intentionally designed so that faculty can engage with this process and have opportunities to provide constructive feedback and recommendations regarding the University’s ongoing diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.

  • UMSON Listening Session: Wednesday, Aug. 12, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. (Register here)
  • Additional sessions open to faculty from all schools and units: Thursday, Aug. 13, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

UMB faculty are invited to attend at least one of the scheduled listening sessions. If you would like to participate in a faculty listening session, please review the schedule and confirm your participation here. Upon confirming your participation, you will receive an email from our team with the session dial-in details.

IMPORTANT: We encourage all regular UMB faculty members – particularly those unable to attend a listening session due to schedule constraints – to share their feedback via this brief web-based survey by Aug. 31: https://daw.checkboxonline.com/UMB-FLSS

The data collected via this survey, which should take less than 20 minutes to complete, in combination with the data collected during the listening sessions will give us a better understanding of the UMB faculty experience and will go on to inform recommendations for how to create a more inclusive campus environment for faculty now and into the future.
