The University of Maryland, Baltimore's Physician Assistant Leadership and Learning Academy (PALLA) is excited to announce a scholarship opportunity for health professions students in the University System of Maryland (USM).    

The PALLA Innovation Award and Scholarship is a team-based award that  will recognize forward-thinking health professions students, faculty, staff, and clinicians who will propose an innovative solution to a health care or health education challenge.   

This year’s challenge is: alleviating the shortage of clinical training sites in the health professions. 

Teams must include at least one health professions student at a USM institution and one PA professional (student, faculty, or clinician). Additionally, teams can include any combination of health professions faculty, staff, or clinicians from Maryland. Teams can also include relevant experts related to the specifics of the proposal. 

Proposals are due Jan. 2, 2022.
