Are you interested in learning about cultural awareness, cross-cultural communication, cross-cultural ethics, global health promotion, relationship building, transcultural evaluation tools, and cross-cultural crisis management?

In the Intercultural Leadership Competencies for Global Collaboration Elective Course, health profession students from the University of Maryland, Baltimore and the Bahiana School of Medicine and Public Health (Brazil) will be exposed to different perspectives and share their experiences in health care and health promotion in different contexts. They will develop a sense of responsibility as local and global citizens, and understanding on how to apply what they will learn in their respective professions as they practice in the local communities and collaborate globally.

There will be seven synchronous sessions on Zoom from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 22, March 1, March 8, March 22, March 29, April 5, and April 12.

Only senior UMB students in one of our health profession programs are eligible to enroll in this course (eligibility details are available in the application form).
