Dr. Laura E. Gómez, a professor of law, sociology, and Chicano/a studies at UCLA and author of the book "Inventing Latinos: A New Story of American Racism," will discuss how anti-Black racism and white supremacist ideology shaped a distinct Latinx identity in the U.S.
