This online workshop aims to engage Maryland nursing faculty in active learning experiences that include discussions of techniques and tools and peer-to-peer dialogue that will assist with developing and implementing a mentoring program designed specifically for their nursing programs. Presentations will include best practices and strategies for selecting approaches most suitable for their schools.

This workshop will also include a panel discussion about the mental and emotional health of nursing students, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants will hear from panelists who have a range of expertise working with nursing students experiencing mental and emotional difficulties. This learning experience requires personal curiosity and reflection from participants and a willingness to share freely in workshop discussions.
