In spite of the current COVID-19 situation, the Francis King Carey School of Law wants you to know you are always welcome to use the Law Library. Although the Law Library building is closed in response to the COVID-19 coronavirus, the Law Library has many resources and services to assist Maryland Carey Law alumni remotely. As Maryland Carey Law alums, you have:

Once the Law Library building re-opens, all Maryland Carey Law alumni will have access to the following resources and services on-site:

  • Continued library building access during all hours the Law Library is open.
  • Alumni borrowing privileges. Subject to certain conditions, all alumni may continue borrowing materials from the Law Library. You may borrow up to five circulating items for up to 28 days with an alumni borrowing card. Complete the online application for an alumni borrowing card. Please allow five business days for processing your application.
  • On-site access to our collection of bar exam study aids
  • On-site access to Westlaw. The Law Library provides on-site access to a version of Westlaw that includes access to cases, statutes, regulations, law reviews, and most Maryland treatises and analytical materials. 
  • On-site access to additional electronic resources. The Law Library provides on-site access to online journals and databases such as Fastcase, HeinOnline, Law360, Politico Pro, ProQuest, Nexis Uni, and more.
