The Macy Faculty Scholars Program is designed to identify and nurture the careers of promising mid-career educational innovators in medicine and nursing. Applicants are expected to have a mentored educational innovation project in preparing future health professionals to address ethical dilemmas, advancing in equity and diversity, or enhancing collaboration among professionals, educators, and learners. There can be only one nominee per nursing school. 

Eligibility: be a faculty member (PhD, MD, DNP, EdD required) with at least five years of full-time experience at the time of application; have an identified senior faculty member to advise on career development, have an institutional commitment for the protection of at least 50% of the candidate’s time; be a citizen or permanent resident. 

Award amounts: $100,000 per year for two years
