DNP students are invited to join the Nurse Practitioner Association of Maryland (NPAM). NPAM is the only professional state organization that is solely dedicated to NP advocacy. NPAM employs a full-time legislative consultant who has worked with the association since the early 1990’s and has a long history of improving the practice environment for NPs in Maryland including full practice authority in 2015. All of these improvements have been made possible due to legislative efforts. Membership drives what NPAM can do to protect the profession. They need your talent and expertise to continue their work on behalf of the over 8,000 NPs who work in this state.
