Four new Quality Improvement (QI) Briefs have been released by the University of Maryland School of Nursing. The newly released QI Briefs are titled:

  • Setting Goals (released on Blackboard and YouTube)
  • Measurement: How to Know Your Project Made a Difference (released on Blackboard and YouTube)
  • Writing a QI Manuscript (released on Blackboard and YouTube)
  • Interpreting a Run Chart (released on Blackboard)

QI Briefs are short educational videos on QI concepts, process models, tips, and tools. There are 18 QI Briefs that have been released. The series was specifically designed to support Doctor of Nursing Practice students, faculty, and advanced practice nurses. All faculty and students at UMSON have access to all QI Briefs.

The QI Briefs released via YouTube were developed with support from the Maryland Higher Education Commission, Nurse Support Advancing Implementation Science Education (AdvISE) grant. Contact Debra Bingham, DrPH, RN, FAAN, associate professor, if you have questions about the series or go to AdvISE: Advancing Implementation Science Education to learn more.
