Nominations will be accepted from April 6-24 for senators to serve on the UMB Staff Senate, which works closely with University leadership on issues that affect UMB staff members. As a liaison to the UMB President's Office, Human Resources, and other offices of University leadership, being on the Staff Senate is a great way to serve your community as an advocate for issues that matter.
Senators serve a two-year term and represent over 2,300 exempt, non-exempt/excluded, and contractual II UMB employees. Alternates serve a single-year term. All academic schools and central administration are invited to participate so that all are represented.
*Ineligible employee groups include: (1) an employee group represented by collective bargaining, (2) faculty members, (3) senior administrator (such as AVP, VP, Dean, Assistant Dean, or Associate Dean), (4) C1 employees, (5) students.
Only self-nominations will be accepted.
