Judges say UMSON magazine earns the bronze for elevating not only the school but also the entire profession of nursing.

Nursing For/um earned bronze in the Council for Advancement and Support of Education’s (CASE) national 2019 Circle of Excellence Awards in the Magazine Publishing Improvement category.

The CASE Circle of Excellence Awards acknowledge superior accomplishments that have lasting impact, demonstrate the highest level of professionalism, and deliver exceptional results. This year, CASE received more than 2,850 competition submissions from more than 600 schools, colleges, and universities nationwide.

From the judges: This magazine earns the bronze for elevating not only the school but the entire profession of nursing. It portrays nursing as the modern, socially relevant profession that it is, and it portrays nurses and nursing students as engaged and diverse. While the old magazine felt like a newsletter, the redesigned version is a real magazine that readers will sit with.
