On the Bright Side: Share Your Uplifting COVID-19 Stories
April 17, 2020Now more than ever, our community, and our world, have a need for good news. But time and time again, the UMSON community has proven that we don't sit and wait for good news. We make good news happen.
We've heard from many of you about what you're doing to generate this good news -- whether it's in a clinical environment, fighting COVID-19 on the front line; supporting those who are on the front line; or contributing to lifting up your community, wherever that community may be and however far it may extend, perhaps even globally.
We've heard so much of this good news that we in the UMSON Office of Communications, in collaboration with our colleagues in the UMB Office of Communications and Public Affairs, figured it's time to formalize a collection process for your stories that serve to bolster our spirits and faith in humanity and to uplift us in a time when it's so easy to feel downtrodden.
This will allow us not only to chronicle UMSON's role in these extraordinary times but to share this good news with our broader community, with others who may be desperately in need of some positivity.
So please, share your story -- however long or short -- via the submit button below. Your story may be about how you have reached out to support your family and friends, colleagues, and communities during the COVID-19 pandemic; about how you're using technology to stay connected in a virtual world; how you're volunteering your skills or supplies to assist others during the pandemic; and so on. Attach an image, too, if you have one. The sky's the limit, and we want to hear about it.
The UMSON Office of Communications will moderate all submissions received, which will then appear on The Elm: Nursing.
Thank you for all that you are doing.
