Parking and Transportation Services’ Sustainability Initiative
January 27, 2021Where is my car? Have you ever asked yourself that question because you have forgotten where you parked? Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) has implemented a new program to create a paperless parking experience.
Pearl Street Garage is now equipped with quick response (QR) code signage on each garage level. This cost-effective measure embraces mobile technology and eliminates paper waste.
The QR code allows parkers to locate their vehicle by using features or apps on their smartphone. The QR code provides not only the level of the garage but a photo, address, date, and time.
PTS has been organizing and designing this project over the past several months, broadening its sustainability initiatives, as well as, enhancing the customer experience.
