More than 140 Americans die every day from an opioid overdose, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and in 2017 the nation declared a public health emergency to deal with the opioid epidemic.

Join us for a Naloxone and Motivational Interviewing training session led by the Baltimore Harm Reduction Coalition. Learn to identify at-risk patients, how to administer naloxone, and strategies to engage patients who are currently using drugs.

The program will be broken into two sessions: Naloxone Training and Motivational Interviewing. Lunch will be provided during a short break between sessions. All UMB faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to attend.
