The Office of Diversity and Inclusion is sponsoring 10 UMSON faculty members who are interested in attending the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF) Faculty Institute Webinar Series #3 - Eliminating Microaggressive Behaviors in Academia

Join NONPF and the NONPF Diversity Special Interest Group to discuss micro-aggressive behaviors in academia and how to begin to eliminate them. The series consists of three one-hour webinars:

  • Webinar 3.1 | Creating a Culture of Trust | Aug. 13 from 2 p.m.-3 p.m.
  • Webinar 3.2 | Developing Awareness of Micro-aggressions in Academia | Aug. 26 from 2 p.m.-3 p.m.
  • Webinar 3.3 | Moving from Awareness to Action | Sept. 10 from 2 p.m.-3 p.m.

At the end of this webinar series, participants will be able to create awareness around common occurrences of micro-aggression, actualize concepts related to micro-aggression in academia, discover strategies to reduce micro-aggressive occurrences, and apply concepts related to creating a culture of trust.

This opportunity is available to the first 10 faculty members who contact Mishawn Smith in the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. Participants will be reimbursed after providing a receipt of purchase for registration and continuing education credit from NONPF for reimbursement. Continuing education credits are available for all three webinars.
