AHEC Scholars is an interprofessional program geared toward health profession students. The AHEC Scholars Program (ASP) is a longitudinal program, and students will be exposed to interdisciplinary didactic and community-based clinical training in rural and/or underserved areas.
The ASP will enroll 45 students per year and include, but not be limited to, the following eligible health professions:
- Medicine
- Nursing (FNP, BSN, MSN)
- Pharmacy
- Physical/Occupational Therapy
- Physician Assistant
- Public Health/MPH
- Respiratory therapy
- Social Work (BSW, MSW)
