UMSON’s DNP program is recruiting faculty to serve as Second Readers on DNP students’ projects. Faculty will gain first-hand experience with the QI process and sharpen your review skills while helping to guide DNP students. 

Paired with a DNP Project faculty member, the second reader commits to reviewing the work of six DNP students across four semesters (Spring, Summer, Fall, and Spring) for a total of 0.12 Service Workload Units, the Second Reader will be responsible for:

  • NDNP 810 (spring) evaluating MAP-IT project charter 
  • NDNP 811 (summer) reviewing project implementation plan, and 
  • NDNP 813 (spring) providing final manuscript feedback.

There are 132 DNP students currently in the first semester of their project courses. We would like to identify Second Readers by April 1 to prepare you for your first read this semester.
