COVID-19 Vaccination Side Effects vs. COVID-19 Symptoms
February 05, 2021Please call the UMB COVID-19 Hotline at 800-701-9863 if you are experiencing symptoms post-vaccination and/or have been vaccinated and have had a subsequent high-risk exposure.
You may still access UMB or USG or, for students, attend clinical/practicum if you experience the following up to 48 hours after vaccine administration and feel well enough to attend in person:
- fatigue
- chills
- headache
- joint/muscle pain
- low-grade fever [<100.0°F (37.8°C)].
YYou should not access UMB or USG or, for students, attend clinical/practicum if you experience:
- a fever of 100.0°F (37.8°C) or higher
- cough
- shortness of breath
- sore throat
- runny nose
- loss of taste or smell
- other symptoms that are not typical of post-vaccination signs and symptoms.
