The Maryland Area Health Education Center Program will offer a screening of the documentary Black Men in White Coats on Feb. 22-25, 2021.
This documentary brings awareness to the low number of Black men in medicine and inspires a generation to consider the medical field.
After the documentary Feb. 25, there will be a virtual panel of experts from the University of Maryland School of Medicine to discuss this issue:
- Dr. David Stewart, chairman, Department of Family and Community Medicine
- Dr. Kristen Reavis, director, Diversity and Inclusion, and Residency Program director
- Dr. Eric Johnson, Family Medicine resident
