Addiction Research Lab

The Addiction Research Lab is seeking healthy volunteers and people who are regular alcohol drinkers to participate in research. Participants must be between the ages of 25 and 55. The study is investigating the relationship between brain function and the cognitive and behavioral effects of regular alcohol use.

Participants will undergo magnetic resonance brain imaging (MRI) before and after taking the antibiotic minocycline for four weeks. This study will involve up to seven visits to the Maryland Psychiatric Research Center in Catonsville. This is not a treatment study. Compensation will be provided.
