A University of Maryland School of Social Work alumnus and student got a firsthand look at the racial component and mental health impacts of COVID-19 on patients while working at the Baltimore Convention Center Field Hospital, a 250-bed site operated by the University of Maryland Medical System and Johns Hopkins Hospital during the height of the pandemic.
