Join the Spanish Language Conversation Partners program, where you can practice your Spanish language skills as you practice social distancing.

What does this mean?
Conversation partners means that you meet (now virtually) one-on-one with another Spanish speaker of about your level to practice skills. You can choose to do Spanish language-only, or you can use the time to go over grammar and vocabulary together. The meeting times will be scheduled and arranged between you and your partner. You can meet for however long and however frequently your schedules allow.

When and how can I find a conversation partner?
Email Katie at kgolden@umaryland.edu or fill out this Google form to find a partner who is at about your skill level. You will be matched up using your email addresses and can connect on how to meet and when to meet. You will be in charge of holding yourselves accountable to practice.

What about the rest of the meetings for the semester?
The currently scheduled meetings are canceled. We plan to have one more Spanish group meeting (now virtually) on a Monday evening based on availability of interested folks. A poll will be sent soon to determine what Monday is best for the most people.

You can submit to have a Spanish Language Conversation partner anytime. However, if it is after Friday, April 10, please submit your application and then ALSO email kgolden@umaryland.edu to confirm that you have applied. Thank you!
