"Individual commitment to a group effort -- that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work." – Vince Lombardi
As we manage through a season of crisis that initiated with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and included the nationwide response to George Floyd’s killing as a result of police brutality, it’s important to remember that crisis is not permanent and trouble will not last forever. A crisis can generate necessary change and learning new ways to be sufficient.
As we learn how to unite while working remotely and remaining socially distant, we are also gaining new insight into how to become effective through technology and how to remain close while staying apart.
This season of crisis has also pushed systemic racism and white privilege to the forefront of the nation’s collective conscience, engendering honest and overdue conversations.
Despite the adversity our country faces, our resilience demonstrates that we are in this together and ready to get involved to build positive change – apart, not alone.
