UMB to Receive More COVID-19 Vaccine Doses
March 01, 2021The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) learned late Friday that our University will be allotted more doses of COVID-19 vaccines in the near future.
To accomplish scheduling vaccination as efficiently and equitably as possible, those eligible according to Maryland's priority criteria will be randomly selected to receive the vaccine. To be considered, you must have completed the UMB Vaccine Prioritization Form. The form is being reactivated for this process, and only UMB employees and students are eligible.
If you previously completed this form (or an earlier version of it), please consider completing it again as your eligibility might have changed.
UMB cannot guarantee that anyone at UMB will be vaccinated by virtue of completing this form. We want you to be prepared if the opportunity for vaccination becomes available. If you find that you have the opportunity to get your vaccine doses elsewhere, please do so. The more people who get vaccinated, the safer we will all be and the faster we can be rid of COVID-19. Once vaccinated, you still must abide by UMB's COVID-19 safety protocols and testing requirements.
As a reminder, please let UMB know when you have been vaccinated — both your first and second doses. This can be completed using the daily SAFE on Campus symptom monitoring form, or you can provide your vaccination information in a different form here.
Note that while we only need you to tell us once about each dose of vaccine, you can also use either of these forms to report side effects that may develop in the following days. Here is a link to more information about actions to take if you develop vaccine side effects.
