UMSON Moves Up in NIH Research Rankings

We are pleased to report that UMSON has made significant gains in the National Institutes of Health's rankings for nursing schools' receipt of research funding.
- In the overall rankings, UMSON has moved up from No. 16 to No. 12.
- For public schools of nursing, UMSON has moved up from No. 9 to No. 5.
For FY 2019, UMSON received $9.03 million total in extramural funding, of which $4.60 million was for research.
The improvement in rankings reflects hard work on the part of faculty and staff. Congratulations, all!
