Healthy adults 18 to 45 years old are needed to participate in a malaria vaccine research study. You will first be screened to assess if you are able to participate. If you are healthy, without prior exposure to malaria, and otherwise eligible and willing to take part, you will be provided more information.

Volunteers will be assigned to the control group in a study testing if an experimental vaccine is safe and can prevent infection after exposure to the malaria parasite. Volunteers who develop malaria symptoms will receive immediate treatment, which is completely curative. There are up to 21 study visits during two months. Financial compensation is provided for screening and study participation.

This study is being conducted by Dr. Matt Laurens at the Center for Vaccine Development and Global Health at 685 W. Baltimore St., Fourth floor, Baltimore, Md., 21201.
