What Does the Maryland Charity Campaign Mean to You?
November 13, 2019“For me, giving back is so important because it provides that positive energy and joy to my life. In doing so, it could also bring joy to someone else’s life who may need a helping hand. I’m a strong believer that you’re only as strong as your weakest link. By giving back, you help to strengthen the community to which you are a part of. At the end of the day, none of us knows what tomorrow will bring. I would hope that if I needed help along the way, I could reach out to one of the many charities for assistance. Donating through the Maryland Charity Campaign makes it easy, in providing that helping hand.”
— Vicky Hunter, MS, assistant vice president, infrastructure services, Center for Information Technology Services, and MCC co-chair for UMB
The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) has a long and generous history of participating in the Maryland Charity Campaign, a workplace giving program that encourages state employees to make charitable donations in support of the causes they care about. Our theme this year is “Strengthening Our Community.”
