Oct. 12: Would Mediation Work for Your Situation?
September 15, 2021Did you know the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) offers workplace mediation? Do you wonder what workplace mediation is like or whether it is right for your situation? Join the UMB Workplace Mediation Service (WMS) for "From Confused to Comfortable: A Panel Discussion about Workplace Mediation." This event focuses on everything anyone ever wanted to know about the UMB Workplace Mediation Service and how mediation works. UMB employees will hear from mediation participants, an apprentice mediator, and Roger Ward, EdD, JD, MSL, MPA, interim provost, executive vice president, and dean of the Graduate School.
This event is part of the annual Conflict Resolution Month programs hosted by the Workplace Mediation Service in October. Participants can participate in-person or through Zoom.
Date and time: Oct. 12, 2:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. Registration is required for both in-person and Zoom attendees.
Confidentiality: Confidentiality is an important part of the mediation process. The WMS is appreciative of mediation participants agreeing to participate in the panel and share their experiences. To honor the confidentiality of our participants, questions asked of them will be limited to how they got to mediation and their overall experience with the process and not the details of their individual situations.
