The United Nations International Day of Women and Girls in Science takes place on Feb. 11. This U.N.-designated day aims to accelerate gender equity and improve access to and participation in science for women and girls.
In recognition of the day, the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) will celebrate our doctors, nurses, pharmacists, scientists, and researchers working to improve the human condition while serving as an inspiration to the girls who follow in their footsteps.
