MSW Student Gulayat Hajiyeva Honored with Anne Arundel County Executive's Civic Engagement Award

 

Social Work MSW student Gulayat Hajiyeva has been honored with the Anne Arundel County Executive's Civic Engagement Award for 2025. The award ceremony was held in the Blue Heron Room at Quiet Waters Park and was presented by Anne Arundel County Executive Stuart Pittman.

 

The Anne Arundel County Executive's Civic Engagement Awards recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to the community through volunteer service, including roles such as commissioner on the Human Relations Commission. These awards highlight efforts that promote the health, wellness, safety, education, and prosperity of all Anne Arundel County residents.

 

Ms. Hajiyeva's dedication and impactful service exemplify the values celebrated by this prestigious recognition. Through her role on the Human Relations Commission, she has worked tirelessly to promote fair and equal treatment for all county residents while actively combating racism, discrimination, intolerance, and hate/bias incidents in the community.
