How ‘The Pulse’ Beats and How You Can Shape Programming
January 05, 2022 Dana Rampolla“The UMB Pulse” podcast is a topic-driven audio program geared toward sharing interesting and engaging stories about everything UMB.
“The UMB Pulse” podcast was initiated in summer 2021 as a way for people to obtain informative, timely, and transparent “Return to Campus” communications as faculty, staff, and students navigated from teleworking and telelearning to an in-person or hybrid model this fall ... a way to get back in touch with the heartbeat of UMB after more than a year of disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Co-hosted by Charles Schelle, senior media relations specialist; Dana Rampolla, director of integrated marketing; and Jena Frick, senior media relations specialist, “The Pulse” is a UMB Office of Communications and Public Affairs (CPA) production. UMB releases a new podcast every two weeks on all of the major podcast platforms.
In the fall, “The Pulse” evolved into a topic-driven podcast geared toward sharing interesting and engaging stories about UMB’s faculty, staff, and student triumphs; things you never knew about UMB; and our engaging neighborhood partnerships with the West Baltimore community. And in the future, it will feature some of UMB’s diverse and accomplished alumni.
As 2021 draws to a close, CPA is conducting a survey to determine the direction of the programming in 2022. We hope you have time as the year ends to listen to a recent episode and take our survey. Our latest program features a conversation about how UMB and the Southwest Partnership are making West Baltimore a better place for our neighbors.
