March 17-23 is National Poison Prevention Week. Learn steps you can take to help protect your family against some common household hazards.


Since 1962, the third week of March has been celebrated by presidential decree as National Poison Prevention Week (NPPW). This special time provides poison centers across the country with a unique opportunity raise awareness about the dangers of poisonings and highlight steps that families can take to prevent them. This year, NPPW will be observed March 17-23. In the spirit of this occasion, the Maryland Poison Center (MPC) would like to provide you with the following tips that you can use to help make your home poison-safe.
