School of Medicine simulation educator Katie Gordon, MSN, RN, CNE, CHSE, and her husband, Nate Gordon, RN, a nurse at the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC), own, operate, and perform in a vaudeville theatrical company in Harford County (Md.) called Rogue Swan Theatre.
Asked by the town of Havre de Grace to create an informational video about the COVID-19 pandemic, Rogue Swan Theatre troupers produced a nearly 25-minute presentation that covers myths about the virus, proper use of masks and gloves, social distancing best practices, handwashing tips, and more.
Another UMMC nurse and Rogue Swan performer, Jessyca Bortell, BSN, RN, CAPA, also offers tips in the video, which concludes with theater group members performing a virtual rendition of The Flesh Failures (Let the Sunshine In), from the play Hair.
