The University of Maryland, Baltimore is excited to host its next President's Symposium on Health Literacy as a Social Determinant of Health with legal expert Christopher Trudeau, JD, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 9.
Trudeau is an internationally recognized expert on clear legal communication, informed consent, and health literacy. He is the first lawyer to be appointed to the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine's Roundtable on Health Literacy and the Food and Drug Administration's Risk Communication Advisory Committee.
Trudeau frequently speaks on creating clear legal documents that people can understand, improving informed consent practices, and reducing organizational risk and increasing compliance by integrating health literacy best practices.
