Jane Lipscomb served at UMSON for two decades.
Jane Lipscomb, PhD, RN, FAAN, has been appointed professor emerita by the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) President Bruce E. Jarrell, MD, FACS. Lipscomb served as a faculty member at the University of Maryland School of Nursing (UMSON) for 20 years, after a distinguished career in occupational health. She retired in June 2017.
Emeritus status may be awarded to a retired faculty member who has made significant and extraordinary contributions through excellent teaching, scholarship, or service; such designations must be approved by the President of the University.
