UMB President’s Fellows to Present White Paper on April 6

On April 6 at 4 p.m., UMB's President's Fellows will share their White Paper and findings as related to this year's President's Symposium topic of health literacy as a social determinant of health.
The 2020-2021 President’s White Paper Project engaged nine students from the schools of dentistry, law, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, public health, and social work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore and the University of Maryland, College Park, on a yearlong research project and conversation on health literacy.
This year's topic centered on expanding the universities’ role in improving the relationship between provider and patient, allowing patients to be well-informed and active decision-makers in their health and the health of their families.
