Institute For Innovation & Implementation Receives Funding To Continue System Of Care Work In Prince George's County.

The Prince George's County Health Department recieved two grants from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to further the development of their system of care.

Expansion and Sustainability of the Comprehensive Community Mental Health Services for Children with Serious Emotional Disturbances is a four year award that will allow Prince George's County to expand the reach of their system of care to children and youth with emotional distrubances and their families, with a particular focus on improving mental health outcomes for children and youth at risk for child welfare and juvenile justice involvement.

The Healthy Transitions grant is a five year award that will allow the County to continue to develop resources for transition-aged young adults (16-25) who either have, or are at risk for developing, mental health conditions.

These two grants continue SSW's Institute for Innovation and Implementation partnership with the Prince George's County Health Department with Dr. Aaron Betsinger serving as the lead evaluator for both grants.
