Assistant director accepted into UMB Costa Rica Faculty Development Institute.
Renee Franquiz, DNP ’16, MS ’90, BSN ’85, RN, CNE, assistant professor and director of the Doctor of Nursing Practice Post-Master's option, has been selected to participate in the University of Maryland, Baltimore's Costa Rica Faculty Development Institute in December 2023.
Participation in the UMB Costa Rica Faculty Development Institute entails the completion of a “deliverable” such as a revised course syllabus, details of a clinical elective or global track, or fleshed out module that integrates global content during the 2024 - 25 academic year. Franquiz has proposed development of a global health track for the DNP program.
Participants in the Costa Rica Faculty Development Institute act as ambassadors for global learning to their school and department.
