Susan L. Bindon

Associate professor receives Distinguished Teaching Excellence Award.


Susan L. Bindon, DNP ’11, MS ’96, RN, NPD-BC, CNE, CNE-cl, FAAN, associate professor, associate dean for faculty development, and director, Institute for Educators and Teaching in Nursing and Health Professions Certificate, received the Distinguished Teaching Excellence Award from her alma mater, the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing, at an Oct. 14 ceremony at the school.

The award cited Bindon's extensive experience teaching in classroom, clinical, and online settings; her mentoring of generations of nurses and nurse educators to develop their teaching expertise; and her management of a statewide faculty development grant that has prepared over 500 clinical nursing faculty.
