Yvette Conyers, DNP, MS, RN, FNP-C, CTN-B, CFCN, CFCS, CNE, assistant professor and associate dean for equity, diversity, and inclusion (left); and Ngozi Osuagwu, DNP '19, MS '08, BSN '03, CRNP, PNP, FNP, assistant professor, (right) presented at the Doctors of Nursing Practice (DNPs) of Color 3rd annual conference, "Calling All Game Changer and Trailblazers," held Oct. 19 - 22 at the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C.

Conyers presented the podium presentation, "This is Chess, not Checkers, Changing the Game of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in Academia and Nursing Practice," while Osuagwu presented a 7-minute poster pitch, "Implementing Mobile Text-Messaging to Improve Attendance at Well Visits in Primary Care Pediatrics."

Multiple other UMSON faculty and a PhD student also attended the conference.
