Celebrating a Commitment to Accessibility
Dr. Alexis Guethler, PhD, CPACC, an instructional designer on the IDEA Team has recently earned the Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) credential. This certification, awarded by the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP), highlights her expertise in accessibility, universal design, and accessibility-related standards and practices.
In her role, Alexis supports the School of Social Work by creating accessible content for new coursework and serving on the Accessibility Advisory Group. This achievement embodies UMB’s core value of Equity and Justice, ensuring that educational opportunities are inclusive and accessible to all. By fostering equitable learning environments, she contributes to the School’s mission of preparing social work professionals to advocate for justice and inclusion in their communities.
