The Johns Hopkins University/University of Maryland/Morgan State University Tri-Institutional ICTR formally announced their awardees of the annual ICTR Accelerated Translational Incubator Pilot (ATIP) Grants for 2024 (total four grant proposals selected).
- Two winners are from the University of Maryland
- Both are from the School of Medicine's Department of Neurosurgery: Graeme Woodworth, MD, and Chixiang Chen, PhD
Funded by a Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) from the National Institutes of Health National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS), Accelerated Translational Incubator Pilot (ATIP) Program Grants seek to support projects that focus on the science of science and ultimately promote NCATS’ mission to accelerate translational research by exploring more efficient strategies for overcoming barriers to investigational studies. Grants are awarded annually and the theme for this year’s funding cycle was improving the process of data integration. The research proposals selected for support included two projects at Johns Hopkins and two projects from the ICTR’s CTSA partner, the University of Maryland, Baltimore ICTR. Each awardee receives a 12-month, $50,000 grant.
