Westgate Delivers Training in Partnership with the Baltimore County Department of Health
Lee Westgate, Adjunct Professor, partnered with the Baltimore County Department of Health (BCDH) to design and deliver a training on “Recognizing and Eliminating Disparities in Access to Treatment for LGBTQIA+ Populations.”
This training was attended by 90 providers from across Maryland, and was the first to include LGBTQIA+ specific content as part of the BCDH's continued efforts to train providers on overdose prevention efforts. This training underscored that health equity should continue to be a through-line in promoting access to essential and lifesaving care and treatment.
