Assistant professors selected to present at the Society of Pediatric Nursing 34th Annual Conference.


Rebecca N. Weston, EdD, MSN, RN, CNE, and Ann Hoffman, DNP, RN, CPN, CNE, assistant professors, have been selected to present at the Society of Pediatric Nursing (SPN) 34th Annual Conference, April 17 - 20 in Phoenix.

Weston and Hoffman will present "Pediatric Content Reviews Reimagined – Providing Learners with an Immersive Review Experience," during which attendees will learn practical tools and insights to enhance pediatric health knowledge and encourage the development of competent and compassionate nurses in the care of pediatric patients.

Additionally, they will introduce a Pediatric Assessment Bundle in the presentation "Creating an Educational Bundle for Proficiency in Pediatric Assessment." The assessment bundle includes didactic education, clinical tools, and simulated practice for nursing students and entry into practice nurses. 

Weston and Hoffman attend the SPN conference annually and have been selected to present in the past on topics related to the use of technology and active learning to enhance pediatric education and increase student engagement.
