Samantha Hoffman, DNP '23, MS '16, CPNP-PC, has been selected to give a podium presentation at the 45th National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners national conference in Denver, March 13 - 16. Her presentation is entitled "Wired Differently: Managing Neurodiversity in Pediatric Primary Care."

The term "neurodiversity" is being seen and heard often in the pediatric health care setting. However, little is known about the diagnoses that fit under the neurodiversity umbrella and how the term impacts patient care. This presentation will cover common definitions related to neurodiversity, discuss its importance in the pediatric primary care setting, and provide tangible advice on how to manage and support neurodiverse patients and their families.
