UMANS graduates are inducted into Leadership U, the National Student Nurse Association (NSNA) honors society.
Seven board members from the University of Maryland Association of Nursing Students (UMANS), the National Student Nurse Association (NSNA) chapter of UMSON at the Universities at Shady Grove (USG), were inducted to Leadership U, the honors society of NSNA.
Students who demonstrate leadership on behalf of the NSNA school chapter are eligible for this distinction. The students were selected for their commitment to demonstrating essential nursing leadership behaviors and promoting engagement among nursing peers and the USG community. These students proudly wore their Leadership U honors cord at the Bachelor of Science in Nursing May 2024 commencement ceremony.
