Assistant professor appointed to international HIMSS Nursing Informatics Committee.
Cory Stephens, DNP, MSN, RN, CNE, NI-BC, CPHIMS, FHIMSS, assistant professor, has been appointed to the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Nursing Informatics Committee, a global coalition of thought leaders who provide domain expertise, leadership, and guidance to the international health ecosystem. His two-year term will begin Jan. 1, 2026.
This appointment aligns closely with Stephens’ scholarly and professional work in generative artificial intelligence (AI), nursing informatics leadership, and scalable models for AI literacy and adoption across academic and clinical settings. He is the co-project director of the AI in Maryland Higher Education (AIM-High) Program. As a Fellow of HIMSS, he brings a strong track record of national and international service, informatics expertise, and innovation-focused leadership to this global committee.
